Then I would be happy to help you get over that first hurdle through my 2-step system, in which you not only go a little further with every course you take, but which also guarantees that you will NOT spend too much money on a course that you are not sure whether you will actually use the skills in real life (this logically is a barrier for many owners). After each step you can choose whether to stop or continue and at the end of the 2 steps you will know everything you need to know to easily keep your Doodle tangle-free and beautifully trimmed in the natural, fluffy look that you love.

Step 1: Free trial instructional video’s

Because I understand how exciting it can be for you to groom your own dog, if you have never even held a pair of grooming scissors, I would like to lower that threshold for you. That’s why I am making a two videos from the online Total DIY Doodle Grooming course available for FREE. Ths way you can see and experience for yourself what you can expect from the step-by-step instructional videos and the DoodleComfort fluffy DIY Doodle Shaping technique. Try this first and only THEN decide if and how you would like to proceed…enjoy!

Step 2: the online Tangle Tackle workshop challenge

If you want to approach DIY grooming in a thorough and responsible manner, ALWAYS start with the basics FIRST: teaching yourself the 3 most important skills of Doodle coat care:

1. Efficient and effective brushing with the right brush
2. Properly thinning the coat to make it fluffier and less prone to tangling
3. Correct, stress-free, painless detangling/dematting of the coat WITHOUT shaving, nasty scissor marks and without using unnatural remedies.
   
   Mastering these 3 skills (together with having the right knowledge, insights and tools) will not only help you manage the coat change, so that you can prevent your Doodle from becoming matted between the critical age of 7 to 12 months and having to be shaved. They also help you make and keep the coat airy and less bulky, so that your dog is less hot in the summer, brushing becomes easier (and less painful for your Doodle) and your groomer has less prep work (which saves you a lot of money). It also saves your Doodle a lot of stress), makes shaping the coat  much easier, the end result much more beautiful AND it helps you solve and prevent future coat problems ALL BY YOURSELF. All this makes your life and that of your Doodle a lot more Doodle comfortable. In my opinion, these skills are a must for EVERY DOODLE OWNER.

But… because you will not learn these techniques from any other workshop provider (because they are based on Water Dog coat care), I want to use them to offer you, in the most accessible way, not only a thorough introduction to Doodle grooming, but also the best chance to  experience whether DIY trimming your Doodle actually suits you. Even if you stop learning after doing this basic workshop and decide to leave the rest to a groomer, this workshop challenge is super valuable for you, because ater completion you will be able to prevent your Doodle from ever needing to be shaved again and/or experience stress during the grooming process. This will make your Doodle happy, your groomer happy, you happy!
